Social assistance payments
The social aspects of the Fund are highlighted above all in having also provided for benefits of a different nature than those of a medical nature, always within the limits of the resources available from year to year and at the Fund's exclusive and unquestionable judgement, to help members and their families in situations of particular difficulty.
Following the natural death (occurring at work) of a worker already enrolled and covered by sickness insurance
Following the natural death of a worker already insured under a trade union agreement, which occurs on land and is clearly due to the illness that caused the seafarer to leave the ship
Following an accident (either at work or on board) resulting in permanent disability of more than 5%
Following the definitive withdrawal of the seaman's book due to illness or injury of the master or chief engineer, who is already de facto registered under trade union agreements
Benefits intended to restore the health of persons temporarily incapacitated by illness or injury (physiotherapy)
Dental treatment (only for members registered with Health in AS Band)
Annual allowance for post-operative care and/or rehabilitation therapy following endoprosthetic and arthroprosthetic operations (only for members insured with Health)
Social and/or welfare contribution for each day of hospitalization (only for members registered with Sanitaria)
Birth of a child (only for members registered with Health)
